Oregon is a bit like heaven when it comes to boating. Abundant rain and snow during the winter which fuel excellant year-round boating opportunities. The most variety of intermediate and expert boating opportunites is during the winter season from Nov.-May. There are some classic expert runs available well into the summer as well as beginner/intermediate boating and good playboating. This site was developed to help boaters enjoy the wealth of boating opportunities in Oregon and the surrounding states. The guidebook section has information on the more commonly paddled rivers around the state. For the aspiring exploratory boater, the exploratory section includes information and maps on rivers that have been explored by Pete Giordano and friends. There are also some stories and essays to help get through the occassional dry spell.
The site is updated with current information frequently and we welcome comments on the run descriptions or any new hazards.
